I truly don't get the whole toilet paper thing. I don't. But today was the day to experience it all for myself.

My roommate and I left out about 6:30 this morning for Winco which was opening at 7. We got there and the parking lot was full and a line of people wrapped around the building. He (the roomie) dropped me off and I went and took my place at the end of the line. We really weren't completely desperate for toilet paper but would need it sooner than later so it was on the list. The doors to the store opened and they allowed a certain number of people in. A lady walked out of the store a few minutes later and walked down the line announcing there was no toilet paper. We were wasting our time if that is what we were there for. The line moved forward a bit and a few people left. We waited a few minutes debating should we go somewhere else or not and decided to go.

Next stop, Safeway. The parking lot was full but there was parking. People were going in and out like normal. We decided to take our chances. As I grabbed a cart I noticed a couple people with toilet paper in their carts. I felt like we'd hit the jackpot. Off to the TP isle we go. And it's empty. Totally empty. I tell the roomie we must of just missed it; there are people with it in their carts. Then from behind me I hear, "are you looking for toilet paper? Here. Take this". I turn and this lovely lady was holding out a 12 pack of double rolls. It caught me off guard. I found myself starting to well up with tears ..... over toilet paper. WTF? Anyway we thanked her and accepted her pack of TP. We spent more on groceries than we ever would of at Winco and got out of there.

Then a trip to the dispensary before they are considered non essential to grab a dart for the pen, a couple pre rolls and a few edibles. There was no one but me there at first but when I left a few had come in and were in the waiting area. Went home and watched some old playoff games on YouTube for a little bit, napped and then an afternoon trip to the dog park. This time they had a couple other dogs to play with. And the squirrel had a friend today, so between the two of them the dogs were well distracted. Some mexican food for dinner, a pre roll for desert and an edible to help take me to dreamland .... which is not far off at the moment. Till tomorrow ..... 

Please note that I am washing my hands what seems like a hundred times a day, using hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes. Stay safe out there.
