Day One - Shelter In Place

This past Wednesday myself and my coworkers were told we would be off work till April 7th at a minimum. The Governor of CA had given a voluntary shelter in place order. Which leads me to the title of this blog.
Day One - 3/19/20
I remembered to turn off my alarm but it really doesn't matter in this crazy house I live in. I rent a room from a friend of over 30 years and his wife. Two of the most dysfunctional people ever .... a blog for another day. In any case I was up, like any other day, at the butt crack of dawn.
The dogs got a trip to the dog park. It was a beautiful, clear but cold day. Few people were out and about .... a few runners/joggers and others walking their dogs. We were the only ones in the dog park itself. A squirrel kept the dogs occupied for a good long time as it teased and tormented them. Standing in the bright sun of the day I finally felt some warmth breaking through. It felt nice.
A nap, left over chinese food and MSTK3 rounded out the day. Another mandatory Shelter In Place order went into place at 11:59pm. For the entire state now. I'm wishing I'd made it to the library before they closed down.
It's gonna take a bit for me to get back into the swing of blogging but I'm taking this whole situation to do just that. A little writing every day should help break the monotony. I hope.
