Around the time the whole thing was happening with my ex faking me out and ghosting me,
I got reeeeally into Mastodon. They happen to be from Atlanta (mostly not originally, but whatever,
I am automatically predisposed sort of to liking them if they are kind of local). I watched Show Yourself and Toe to Toes, repeatedly, for obvious relationship issues. Steambreather, though, is on a completely different level. It reminds me of a friend of mine who killed himself in 2014. This would be the kind of song he would have loved. I DO believe he would have loved Mastodon, in fact. He and I went to many concerts together and the weird 70's New-Agey theme of the video was something he would have laughed at but thought was massively cool. He would have also loved the GlenGarry Glen Ross/ Seventh Seal mash-up of the Show Yourself video. I just know it! ;)
