have happened. My internet flat went out. At&t was out to repair it today and I usually think all of this kind of thing is b.s. from the company. Poor at&t guy though, my aunt's old mobile home that we rent (because our home burned down) is falling apart. He said he went out back to check the line and there was one sprig of it connected and that sprig fell apart when he touched it. I absolutely believe it.
He rewired outside and replaced the jack inside (usually a $99 fee for working inside the residence) and said there would be no charge. My mom said the new wire will probably hold the wall up for us.
In other news, my cousin tried to get my mom and her mom (my mom's sister or my aunt) off the deed of the land that my uncle left them. She wanted my other uncle, who is also on the deed, but learning disabled, to leave the land to her daughter. She snuck off to the judge with some fake will from my late Granny. The judge said that the will looked 'legal' and that they should call a lawyer and have my learning disabled uncle write up a will leaving the land to my cousin's daughter.
This freaked both my aunt and my mom out, of course.
The next day, my cousin called the lawyer and he said that they could write up the will, and my uncle could allow anyone he wanted to live on the land, while he is alive BUT when he dies...the land reverts back to my aunt and my mom and they can kick whomever he has allowed to live on the property off.
Even more pandemonium and chaos erupted!!!!
Since the person my uncle is trying to leave the land to is my Aunt's granddaughter (this sounds like one of those logic problems, I know) my Aunt wouldn't throw her off anyway. But my mom is the one that is somewhat getting cheated. I don't care about the land, except that is where my dogs are. Nobody better kick my dogs off the property!

Yesterday, a verification code, that was printed on April 8th and supposedly only valid thru April 30th, arrived in my mailbox. Just for giggles, I went ahead and went to my account and put the code in. It actually worked.
Now I just have to deal with my AT&T internet going out everyday for 12 hours between 10 am and 10 pm.
Sheesh. ;)

I ordered a Dvd of The Stand miniseries because I have never seen all of it. This made me also realize that I have never finished the book.
So, I am going to read it and keep notes here (and on one other site).
I couldn't remember where I left off reading exactly and my kindle no longer had my bookmarks.
It was somewhere near where all the flu-resistant characters meet up.
I started over. This version I have is the 1989 re-edit and it seems cool.
I didn't realize how much tragedy Stu had seen. If I didn't know something of real life at this point,
I would say it pushes credulity.
This is my favorite phrase so far:
"and all sorts of embarrassing eructations on her skin"
So, I am going to read it and keep notes here (and on one other site).

I bumped my head Sunday night. It realllly hurt but there wasn't much I could do about it.
Yesterday morning I woke up as usual and made the hazelnut coffee.
Couldn't keep it down.
Couldn't keep anything down.
Finally I ate some chocolate pudding last night and have been keeping water down.
I'm trying to decide if I should try some hazelnut coffee today. I feel somewhat better.
Every day is a journey...
P.S. on Saturday I installed the 2000+ games on my Flashback Legends console! w00t!

A couple of months ago, I posted about buying a Legends Flashback console.
It has been great. I have played it maybe 3 hours since I got it because I just have other things I have to do.
Many years ago, though, I used to play a Super Mario Brothers game altered to be a Smashing Pumpkins version.
I hit level 15 boredom today and was perusing old Smashing Pumpkins fan sites and found the rom for the game.
Then I recalled that my Legends Flashback allows for a SD/Rom installation for unlimited gaming.
So, I ordered an SD card to use with a supply of ROMs that I have. But I have been playing the games on my laptop anyway.
They might be more fun this way. I dunno.
Just something to kill the time at this point.
