What I'm Playing
2/10/2020 12:57 PM
  • Destiny 2
A year plus in and still going strong... but when I've been this involved in other games, there's been a hard stop and I'm starting to suspect it's approaching.
  • Red Dead Redemption
Been playing this one off and on and need to get back to it. That's a hard way to play because the controls are not easy to use. Rockstar Games character movement suck.
  • Spiderman
My older television was introducing lag which is a huge detractor to this game and I shelved it. Ready to try again!
  • Wordscapes
Free to play mobile game. I like word games and this has heavy flavors of Boggle.
  • Castlevania (NES)
    Replaying the classics!

Spousal Unit is playing Destiny 2, as well. He might cross-platform so he can play solo, too. He enjoys it very much. :) I hope you are having fun!

Very much! I've been playing for over a year and still loving it. Have you tried playing?

I have watched him play many video games over the years. I tried, a very long time ago, to play something he played and got completely lost. I can't even figure out how to make the controller do what you want, and keeping track of maps or landscapes or anything is beyond me when under pressure like that. I need a delete key. lol The graphics are fantastic, though.

I get it. Some games can be hard to play. And I've found it's easy to get out of the habit when there's a lot of other things vying for your attention. I figure it's the same for starting up the habit. You've got plenty of other things going on, fersher.

I heard that too. They're latest updates seem to be a bit buggy. People lost inventory and currency, a huge problem for game-as-a-service title.

I had such a massive D1 problem. I played that game from launch till D2 with only maybe a month or so away from it the whole time. Vanilla D2 cured me of that obsession so fast. I never went back to it.

tbh it feels sometimes like I shrugged off a coke problem.

I never played D1. I heard it was dense but fun.

I've found a balance (2x a week) for these multi-player games with friends that doesn't tax me too much. Before we had that schedule and spent whole weekends and many weeknights playing, during breaks between titles was when I felt like the game was playing me. I need other things in my life to feel like I'm fully living it. Even if some of those other things aren't necessarily breaking me away from the screen. :P

It's sooooo easy to get lost down the Destiny rabbit hole-- or all those other big live service games. FOMO is REAL.

Honestly just typing what I did to you about D1 has me itching and being like, hey you should reinstall, your titan is just sitting there, what are you doing.

You're a warlock main right? I feel like I can smell warlock on you.

Hilarious! I'm a Hunter. I dabbled in Warlock when I played independently, but once I started playing with an established Warlock and Titan, I picked up Hunter and never looked back.

Ah the degeneracy of the hunter class is well recorded. You all are gonna get put in camps one day.

That's what I've heard. I've got a triple jump that'll get me out of most jams.
