Still Waiting

Still waiting on the results for my COVID test from that absolute shitshow yesterday. It's unnerving to realize that the numbers presented by the CDC and media are actually 24-72 hours behind, since that's how long it takes to get your test results.

I'm following directions like a good panda, and in quarantine.

I still feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. Which makes sense, since the doctor has declared I have a “mysterious viral lung infection”.

I just cannot get over that phrase he used. That’s a gem I’m going to be keeping for a while.

If it makes you feel any better, an older woman in town had a mysterious infection that tested negative for all the usual suspects, but after a couple days of rumors, turns out it wasn't COVID.

I'm trying to convince myself it's the same either way... it's just a lung infection that I should be able to recover from.

I guess the best possible result is that it turns out to be COVID, and then I develop an immunity to it and can go volunteer around town rather than being useless at home? (yes, i know they aren't sure if you can catch it multiple times. This is just whishful thinking)
